Tiraspol will ask to postpone the Vienna round of negotiations in the “5+2” format

The head of Transnistria, Yevgeny Shevchuk, told reporters about this today, explaining that Tiraspol is concerned about the unfriendly unilateral actions of the Moldovan side.
He said that we are talking about the initiation of criminal cases in Chisinau against a number of representatives of the Transnistrian authorities, about the sale to Moldova of a frequency range that is already used to provide telecommunications services in Transnistria.
Tiraspol is also perplexed why the agreement recently reached within the “5+2” format to dismantle the cable car in Ribnitsa, which threatens people’s lives, is still not being implemented.
“Unfortunately, we do not have answers to a number of questions. Moreover, recently we have been increasingly receiving signals from our international partners that Moldovan diplomacy is making active efforts to isolate Pridnestrovie at the international level. They are sending out recommendations to embassies accredited in Moldova, I would say, not to contact us. I don’t know why this is happening,” Shevchuk said.
He noted that Tiraspol stands for a peaceful resolution of conflicts and calls on partners to “stop actually waging an economic, informational, diplomatic war against Pridnestrovie in order to create the necessary platform for real, very serious, including political, negotiations in the future.”
