Tiraspol offers to provide light to the Odessa region
Kyiv, December 24 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Yevgeny Shevchuk said that Pridnestrovie is ready to provide at least the Odessa region of Ukraine with electricity generated by the Moldavian State District Power Plant.

«We have the technical ability to provide at least the Odessa region with the missing electricity. We are concerned about the problems in Odessa, and we are interested in the speedy stabilization of the economic situation in both Ukraine and Moldova,” Shevchuk said.
At the same time, Shevchuk emphasized that Pridnestrovie is ready to supply electricity to Ukraine at favorable prices.
“Volumes need to be agreed upon. If the Ukrainian side shows a clearly expressed interest, then Pridnestrovian economic agents will conduct appropriate negotiations on future supplies of electricity. If this product is not needed, then no one will supply it,” he emphasized.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier Chairman of the Odessa Regional State Administration Igor Palitsa stated his readiness to purchase electricity in Transnistria.
