“Titushnya provoked, and we were beaten” - the fiasco of the “National Corps” in the Rivne region
Clashes with the police and “titushki” in the city of Berezno in the Rivne region ended the attempt of local activists to smoke out the Servant of the People deputy Sergei Litvinenko from the reception room.
The National Corps radicals published a video from the scene of events on Facebook, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The reason for the fight was the demand of those gathered for an explanation from a deputy who had arrived on a working visit to voters. Nationalists, ex-ATO soldiers and “veterans” accused Litvinenko of “legalizing the DPR and LPR.”
“We want People’s Deputy Litvinenko to come to us and explain the theses he voiced at the briefing on the legalization of the LPR-DPR,” said the leader of the Rivne branch of the National Corps, Igor Sukhoi.
The radical was referring to Litvinenko’s statement on June 5 at a briefing in the Verkhovna Rada that “parliament should consider a bill on the special status of ORDLO in order to give dynamics to the Minsk process.”
“This person said that it is necessary to speed up the process of holding elections in the temporarily occupied territories of the LPR-DPR. That is, this is an outright vatnik, a separatist who wants what all representatives of pro-Russian citizens want - that same Rashka, that same OPZZh, representatives of Shariy and all that cotton wool that has now raised their heads,” the nationalist started the crowd.
Those gathered, among whom were very active women, shouted “Traitor, come out!”, “Don’t be a coward, come out!”
However, after several hours of standing and screaming, it all ended faster than anyone could have imagined.
“Deputy Litvinenko came out of the administrative building, got into his car and began to brazenly run away,” one of the nationalists said in the end. “When people wanted to talk to him, ask him about the LPR-DPR, about how he wanted to recognize them, he brazenly began to run away from his public.”
“When he started to run away, they wanted to stop the transport to talk. Accordingly, the titushnya, who was brought from Kyiv, from Brovary, from Rivne, began to run, break the ranks of the police and jump on us. Poison with a cylinder, fill with gas canisters, beat. We began to defend ourselves, the police became involved, mass arrests began,” the eyewitness recalled.
“When we were leaving the city, a firecracker was thrown from a black Volkswagen with Kyiv license plates, which exploded. The police thought that it was us and rushed in a line to beat all our people and began to throw them to the ground. The head of the “National Corps” Igor Sukhoi was harshly detained...
