The President of the All-Ukrainian Council for the Protection of the Rights and Safety of Patients, Viktor Serdyuk, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv.
“We have enough bread - not 33, there is also plenty of entertainment, but there is a third point in governing the state - medicines that are not available to us. This is confirmed by the State Statistics Committee: 30 percent of people refuse treatment altogether because they cannot afford to buy medicine. There's just no money. Another 60 percent are driven into poverty by the appearance of a sick person in the family and the need for treatment. That is, it turns out that only 10 percent of us can afford to buy medicine.”
