“Just let’s avoid fakes” - Lukashenko instructed the Security Council to oversee the information agenda
In the current conditions of information war, regulation of the media agenda should be carried out taking into account the interests of state security.
This was stated by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting with State Secretary of the Security Council Alexander Volfovich, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now there is a war, first of all, in the field of information security. And everyone should be involved here - from the journalist to the president. War is war. But information warfare is very dangerous in the modern world. Starting, again, from the district newspaper and ending with the Internet.
Frankly speaking, the Presidential Administration is not doing much in this regard, and is not finalizing it, especially in serious areas. I absolutely agree with the proposal that the State Secretariat should be involved in this. This will be a good support for our certain actions in the media.
But I want to protect you from any fakes. We don't need to go this route. We need to show the real reality. This wins. Fake is for a day or two. And then all this will dissipate. Therefore, there is no need for fakes. There is no need to give false and incorrect information. We must do everything with dignity, beautifully, so as not to make excuses later,” Lukashenko said.
