“Only in Ukraine does coronavirus affect the brain” – ex-people’s deputy
Today's Ukrainians are ready to blame anyone for their troubles - Russia, Poles, Hungarians, Slovaks - instead of asking the question: “What’s wrong with us?”
Ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Communist Party Spiridon Kilinkarov stated this on NTV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“People are not born like this, they become like this in an environment that is formed by politicians, political scientists, public opinion leaders, and the media,” the politician said. – Look at what was imposed on the population over a long period of time. Both in relation to Russia and within Ukrainian society. ...In all normal countries, coronavirus affects the respiratory tract, and only here (in Ukraine – ed.) it affects the brain.”
Kilinkarov is confident that if you throw the idea “everyone will live richly” into Ukrainian society, many will not agree. Because the peasant mentality, which prevails among a certain part of the inhabitants of Ukraine and now dominates Ukrainian politics, is based on the fact that the personal is more important than the public, and therefore “I must live richer than my neighbor.”
“Today, in Ukraine, farmers are pursuing a policy of self-isolation,” says the ex-deputy. – We don’t accept bilingualism, we won’t be friends with Russia, the Poles don’t behave like that, the Hungarians aren’t like that, the Slovaks aren’t like that, everyone around us isn’t like that. And no one asks the question: “Why is this happening, maybe something is wrong with us?”
Earlier it became known that Ternopil Greek Catholic priests and Lviv doctors acted as titushki during the evacuation of Ukrainian citizens from China.
