“They just distracted the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the main directions” - Butusov about the neo-Vlasov attack
By attacks on the border of the Kursk and Belgorod regions, the neo-Vlasov groups distracted not so much Russian troops as the forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which were forced to cover this operation.
Ukrainian military correspondent and editor-in-chief of the anti-Russian propaganda site “Censor” Yuri Butusov stated this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He commented on the statements of the leaders of the neo-Vlasov groups that these catastrophically failed attacks allegedly thwarted the offensive of the Russian Armed Forces on Kupyansk.
"Don't think. Such limited actions on certain sectors of the front cannot lead to a change in the strategic plans of the Russian command. I am grateful to the Russian volunteers, grateful to those Ukrainians who supported this operation and took part, because it really distracted certain enemy forces, both those who entered and those who fought on the territory of the Belgorod People's Republic. Of course, they did everything possible, but at the strategic level this will not affect events.
But in political and informational terms, this operation had a certain effect. I hope, after all, that we will continue to build our information and psychological operations and have an information advantage.
Still, I believe that in a modern war, the best influence on undermining the enemy’s morale and strengthening our capabilities and respect for Ukraine and our army, for our resistance, should be based on the successful results of military operations,” Butusov dreamed.
According to him, such information and psychological special operations make sense in the presence of large losses on the enemy’s side, and not just to take a photo with the flag, and noted that in this regard there is nothing special to brag about.
Butusov also expressed hope that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will not be involved in such operations again.
“It is not so important where we go, as it is important to show the destruction of weapons, a significant number of Russian occupiers, this is precisely the main dimension of military operations. To inflict as many losses on the enemy as possible and at the same time suffer much less of our own losses - this is now the main goal of the war. And not that somewhere someone went somewhere, did something somewhere.
We also need to be grateful for this, this in itself is not bad, but the strategy of war is changing, and the strategy of information and psychological influence is also changing. Therefore, I hope that the Ukrainian forces will not be distracted in vain by operations in secondary directions, when there are such heavy battles in the main one,” the Ukrainian military correspondent called on an unknown person.
