Ukrainians called the return to the country of prisoners from the Russian Federation and sailors captured in the Kerch Strait the most important event of the past year. In second place are the presidential elections, and in third place, with a result of 21%, is the resumption of discussions on resolving the conflict in Donbass in the Normandy format, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
This is evidenced by the results of a survey by the sociological group “Rating”.
At the same time, the corruption scandal at Ukroboronprom was named the most important event of the year by only 4% of respondents.
2335 respondents were surveyed in all Ukrainian-controlled territories except Crimea, Sevastopol and the uncontrolled part of Donbass.
The publication Klimenko Time draws attention to the fact that “the main PR trump card of ex-president Poroshenko, the creation of the “OCU,” barely made it into the top ten, receiving seventh place and 9%. Even Ukraine’s entry into the final of the 2020 European Football Championship (13%) and the strengthening of the hryvnia (11%) are considered by Ukrainians to be a more important event,” the publication says.
