This was stated by the head of the NBU Valeria Gontareva during the 11th meeting of the “Yalta European Strategy”.
According to her, the volume of trade with Russia decreased by 45%, in particular in the field of mechanical engineering and the defense industry. At the same time, some enterprises have slightly reduced their volumes. Thus, Motor Sich, which supplies helicopter engines to Russia, reduced supplies by only 3%.
According to Gontareva, next year the volume of trade with Russia will be reduced by another 40%. Despite this, as well as the fall in GDP combined with rising defense spending, she expressed confidence that Ukraine’s budget will be replenished.
