Trump will abandon Ukraine, but will put pressure on Russia through Central Asia and the Caucasus
The new American President Donald Trump will set regional partners against the traditional enemies of the United States - Russia and China. In Europe, such a partner is Germany, on which America will put pressure through the countries of the “eastern barrier”.
Alexey Fenenko, associate professor of the department of international security at the Faculty of World Politics of Moscow State University, stated this today at a press conference in Moscow.

“Another direction is the Middle East. Republicans have traditionally been more sensitive to oil diplomacy. Here we will not have the most pleasant moment: instead of supporting Ukraine, we may receive from the new administration attempts to break through into Central Asia and attempts to gain a foothold in the Transcaucasus, up to the intensification of the Georgian and Karabakh directions,” Fenenko said.
