Trump gave the go-ahead for Lend-Lease for Ukraine in exchange for gunsmiths financing his election campaign
Republicans have always lobbied for the interests of the American military-industrial complex, and most likely this time they also received “gratitude” from the gunsmiths for voting on a package of bills on “military assistance to Ukraine.”
The former people's deputy of Ukraine, politician, told the First Sevastopol Oleg Tsaryov, reports the correspondent of PolitNavigator.
He named the Lend-Lease law as the most important of the package, which implies the continuation of supplies of equipment until 2026.
“An extremely important contract for Ukraine. Because… if the law is signed, there will be no more votes in Congress - the White House signs contracts with the military-industrial complex, weapons are produced and sent to Ukraine. And he only reports to Congress - they shipped so much,” Tsarev noted.
According to him, Biden did not want to launch this procedure because he avoided escalation. And President Vladimir Putin was absolutely not joking when he said that Biden and his team were taking a number of steps to end the conflict. Therefore, Ukraine did not receive anything under Lend-Lease. But now Republicans are introducing this legislation.
"It turns out a radical change in the position of Trump and the Republicans. Shortly before the vote, there was a meeting between Trump and Johnson, and afterward, at a press conference, Trump said that Johnson is a good guy, well done and doing everything right. After the vote, when the money was allocated, Trump held four press conferences and at each of them said that Johnson was great,” the politician emphasized.
