This forecast was voiced by Ukrainian political scientist Alexey Yakubin at a press conference in Kyiv.
“Trump is talking about cutting US aid to other countries. We must understand that this issue will also affect Ukraine. Of course, some of the international assistance programs launched by the State Department and related to Ukraine will continue to operate. But some programs will change. It is obvious that we will see a change in the agenda from Washington, which will also be reflected in Ukraine. If Washington does not further promote the idea of spreading democracy (in the Washington understanding of democracy), then this will directly affect Ukraine,” warns the Ukrainian expert.
