Trump would like to “don’t care and forget” about Ukraine
During the Helsinki meeting, American President Donald Trump made it clear that the United States is not going to continue the “Ukrainian adventure” and now is the time to correct the consequences to which it has already led.
The former head of the Nativ intelligence service, Yakov Kedmi, stated this on the Israeli ITON TV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Trump is not interested in Ukraine. What did he say about Ukraine and Crimea? “It was Obama who started the mess, what do you want from me?” He does not understand what value everything that has happened and is happening in Ukraine has for the security of the United States. And this is the only thing that worries him,” Kedmi said.
Therefore, in his opinion, Ukraine has absolutely no importance for the pragmatic Trump.
“The US position towards Ukraine is to give a damn and forget. Like a black spot that brought nothing positive to anyone or anything. Yes, under pressure from locals, he talks about Ukraine and the “occupation of Crimea,” but this is standard rhetoric with nothing behind it. All the hopes of Ukrainian pseudo-patriots and everyone who fueled this adventure in Ukraine were buried at this meeting. The only thing Trump talks about is how to correct the situation,” concluded Jacob Kedmi.
