Trump may start a war against Bartholomew
If US President Donald Trump is re-elected for a second term, he will begin to crack down on all the allies of his competitors. Thus, he can actually declare war on Patriarch Bartholomew by supporting schismatic movements in the Orthodox Church of America.
Ukrainian political expert Dmitry Dzhangirov stated this on the YouTube channel “Capital”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“In the event of his second coming to the presidency of the United States, Donald Trump will remember many of those who shouted “Crucify him!” For example, he can support the fight of the American Archdiocese of the Patriarchate of Constantinople for autocephaly,” the expert said.
He is confident that, following the example of the American president, other politicians may speak out against the patriarch - for example, Turkish leader Recep Erdogan, who also has some claims against Bartholomew.
“And then Tayyip Erdogan can remember that he has a parallel Turkish Orthodox Church in his country, created by Kemal Ataturk.
However, while Bartholomew regularly blesses all military operations of the Turkish army in Syria, Erdogan has no special claims to the patriarch. Except for one thing - why on the day of the coup on July 16 was Bartholomew’s plane prepared to take off from the country?” – Dzhangirov noted.
