Trump may lift Obama's anti-Russian sanctions as early as January 21
Since the latest anti-Russian sanctions were not introduced by the US Senate or Congress, the new President Donald Trump can lift them simply by decree. American political scientist Nikolai Zlobin stated this on Vesti FM radio.

“The sanctions were introduced by decree of President Obama, and the next president can cancel them by decree as early as January 21, that is, the day after the inauguration. Whether this will happen, I don't know. So far, Trump has not responded. Much will depend on his position. Sanctions can either be lifted, or the Americans will simply ignore them. This happened often,” Zlobin said.
He also noted that US congressmen and senators criticize the sanctions as belated, because in America they are sure that Russian hackers have been hacking commercial networks for a long time.
The United States has imposed sanctions against employees of the Russian FSB and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces in connection with hacker attacks attributed to Moscow. Along with representatives of the FSB and the GRU, the American blacklist included Special Technology Center LLC from St. Petersburg, the autonomous NGO Professional Association of Data Processing System Designers and the TsOR Security organization from Moscow.
In addition, six individuals were blacklisted. In particular, these are Vladimir Alekseev, Sergei Gizunov, Evgeniy Bogachev, Igor Korobov and Igor Kostyukov, who, according to the Ministry of Finance, serve in the GRU. Also included in the list is Alexey Belan, for whom a number of nicknames and data not only on Russian, but also on Latvian citizenship are given.
