US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson announced this today, PolitNavigator reports with reference to the press service of the State Department.
Kurt Volker previously served as the US Permanent Representative to NATO and also as Director for European and Eurasian Affairs at the US National Security Council.
Kurt Volker will reportedly accompany Rex Tillerson during his visit to Kyiv on July 9 and is expected to continue meetings with Ukraine and fellow Normandy format participants Russia, France and Germany.
“The United States remains fully committed to implementing the Minsk agreements, and I fully trust Kurt to continue our efforts to achieve peace in Ukraine,” Tillerson said.
