Trump will not help: Europe and Russia will deal with Ukraine
The current President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and the Verkhovna Rada greatly miscalculated the adoption of a language law that will cause sharp condemnation from Europe.
Vladimir Zelensky will have to reconsider it.
In addition, US hopes for a “Grand Deal” with Russia on Ukraine are groundless, since the Kremlin will never agree to it.
This opinion was expressed on the YouTube channel “Open Ukraine” by Ukrainian political consultant Andrei Mishin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Zelensky cannot react to the new law in the literal sense. Our idiotic parliament, together with Poroshenko, is stepping on the rake of the same European integration that they signed in the Constitution. Because immediately when this law is introduced, Hungary blocks all contacts along the Ukraine-NATO line, as it was. The same thing is happening with Romania, and there is an aggravation with Poland.
Sometime in the fall, the Venice Commission will issue a statement to completely change the law. But now, most likely, the rights of Russian-speaking minorities, and the understanding that it is important for the European Union, as a neighbor of the Russian Federation, to take into account the interests of Russia. That is, whether you want it or not, Zelensky will revise the foreign law that Poroshenko will sign,” he noted.
The “Big Deal” (between Moscow and Washington - editor's note) is largely a myth, because interests and alignments change all the time. Trump needs an agreement with Putin against China. But Putin will not go against China in his life.
The alliance between Russia and China is the Russian Federation’s confidence in a certain future. An alliance with the United States does not provide this, because “nothing personal, just business,” which is evident with all countries that are friends with America,” the expert added.
