Trump will leave Ukrainian grant eaters without money
The arrival of the new US President Donald Trump promises trouble for recipients of American grants in Ukraine. This forecast was voiced by Ukrainian political scientist Andrei Zolotarev to PolitNavigator.

“There are signs that Uncle Sam will no longer be so generous, and some will lose grant income. This is, first of all, a change in the team in charge of Eastern Europe and Ukraine. And this, in turn, will entail a review and audit of where the $5 billion went to develop democracy in Ukraine, which Nuland spoke about, and other expenses.
According to the results of this audit, many representatives of the grant-eating class and our political elite will be faced with surprises, with a new reality when Uncle Sam will focus primarily on his internal problems. The words will remain the same - “we will support, we will help” - but without the usual material content, which was not particularly abundant before.
To understand what Ukraine received, it is enough to remember that the US subsidized the armed forces of Afghanistan for $39 million. But even modest amounts for Ukraine can be revised for the sake of the principle, which in Ukrainian can be expressed as “your own way in your own way” - produce American and buy American.
In US history, there have already been isolationist presidents who concentrated on solving internal problems. Trump does not hide this intention. It is obvious that Ukraine will become a deeply peripheral issue for the United States. It will probably be resolved in the context of US-Russian relations,” the expert explained.
