Trump will support the federalization of Ukraine
The new US President Donald Trump will not officially recognize Crimea as Russian territory, but will turn a blind eye to this fact. American political scientist, President of the Center for National Interests Dmitry Simes stated this on the air of the talk show “60 Minutes”.

According to him, Trump will also not object to the federalization of Ukraine in the context of the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
“I don’t think the Trump administration will recognize Crimea as part of Russia in the near future. But I think that the position will be “what happened, happened, it does not affect the interests of the United States, and let’s agree that we have disagreements on this issue that we cannot yet resolve, but this should not interfere with our other relations.” As for Donbass, I think the line will continue to be to implement the Minsk agreements in an interpretation that is acceptable to all parties. I think that the United States will not particularly insist on any options that will interfere, for example, with the federalization of Ukraine,” Simes said.
