Trump arrived at the White House
The new US President Donald Trump arrived at the White House with his wife Melania. The couple was met on the steps by Barack and Michelle Obama. All four showed friendliness. Melania gave Michelle a gift - a large green box.

Barack Obama, following a long-standing tradition, left a note to his successor, Donald Trump. This was reported by the White House press service, adding that the 44th president placed a small message in the top drawer of his desk in the Oval Office.
Donald Trump began today by visiting St. John's Church, located near Lafayette Square, literally a hundred meters from the White House.
The Republican was accompanied by members of his family. They were also joined by US Vice President-elect Michael Pence and his wife.
Trump expressed his desire to quickly begin work in a new capacity. “It all starts today! See you at 11:00 for my swearing-in. The forward movement continues – the work begins!” – he wrote on his page on the microblogging network Twitter (“Twitter”).
In the morning, a small rally of Trump opponents took place in Washington in support of emigrants.
