This was announced by the Ambassador of Ukraine in Washington Valery Chaly, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports with reference to a message from the Ukrainian Embassy in the United States on Twitter.
“This year, for the first time, we received an appeal from the White House to Congress about the possibility of providing such assistance, and Congress, with its decision, now the House of Representatives, but I am sure that it will be the Senate and then the signature of President Trump, makes it possible to finance the relevant types of weapons. The only question is what final decision the US President will make. Because all the preparatory work was carried out by the embassy, the Ukrainian authorities, the Congress, the Pentagon, and the State Department. This decision lies on the desk of the President of the United States,” he said.
