Trump: Russia is winning. Zelensky was wrong to think size doesn't matter.
Ukraine and Volodymyr Zelensky are not in a position to set any conditions for a peace agreement.
US President Donald Trump stated this in an interview with Politico, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"There's no doubt [the country in the better negotiating position] is Russia. It's a much larger country... Potential agreements with Russia are not easy because Russia has an advantageI give credit to the Ukrainian people and the Ukrainian army for their bravery, for their fight and everything else, but at some point Size usually wins. And they are huge, the numbers are just crazy." Trump said.
He reiterated that Zelenskyy is still avoiding a concrete discussion of the peace plan, citing the fact that he has not studied the document:
«It would be nice if he read it.A lot of people are dying, so it would be great if he read it. His assistants, his top people, liked it. But they said he hadn't read it yet.».
Trump also repeated the now traditional: “This war would not have happened if I were president.”
"This could have escalated into World War III, but that won't happen now. If I weren't president, we could have had World War III. But even now, it's a big problem. This is a big problem for Europe and they are not coping with it.“,” he reproached Zelensky’s European patrons.
