“Trump threw us from Olympus to the very bottom” - ex-head of Ukrainian intelligence
The United States has changed its intentions and is no longer going to take part in negotiations in the Normandy format, instructing Kyiv to independently resolve its problems directly with Moscow.
The former head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, Nikolai Malomuzh, said this on the YouTube channel “Politeka,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Trump four days (before the negotiations - editor's note) said that he was ready to take part in the Normandy format, Pompeo confirmed this, and through our channels they initiated support for removing one hot spot in the world. There was a motivation that Ukraine is one of the problems of the world, all countries are involved in solving this problem and will agree that Putin will be forced to follow this scenario, because all the players are ready for such a scenario.
The second scenario was American, we offer nothing there, there is no serious motivation, there is no extremely powerful interest, and they are left to solve the problem with Putin. Trump officially announced that Russia and I will decide one on one. Moreover, Putin continued that not just with Russia, but with militants. They lowered us there, we came down from such a high Olympus,” Muzhenko stated sadly.
