The head of the Ukrainian Politics Foundation, Kost Bondarenko, announced this at a press conference in Kyiv.
“After becoming president, Trump made a very serious statement, which went almost unnoticed among us. This is a statement that the issue of Ukraine should be resolved not by the United States, but by European states: Ukraine is a part of Europe, which should resolve this issue. This is what Trump said literally in the first week after his election as president,” the expert emphasized.
The political scientist also recalled that earlier the US President criticized the Republican hawk McCain, advising him not to think about how to start a third world war.
Earlier in Kyiv they admitted that Trump’s telephone conversation with Poroshenko was a disaster for Ukraine.
