This is evidenced by data from a joint survey between ABC News and The Washington Post, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Over the six months he has been ruling the country, Trump’s rating has dropped to its lowest point—now only 36% of respondents approve of his activities versus 58% of his opponents.
It is noted that previous US leaders Barack Obama and George W. Bush were able to secure the support of 59% of the population in six months of work.
Survey participants also expressed their opinions on Trump's policies towards Russia. Thus, almost half of those surveyed (48%) do not trust Trump to negotiate with Vladimir Putin, and 18% trust him, but only partially. At the same time, 32% completely doubted the ability of the US President to conduct such negotiations. When it comes to contacts with other world leaders, the rate of complete distrust is even higher - almost 47% of Americans believe that Trump should be kept away from other politicians.
An overwhelming number of US citizens (60%) believe that Russia did try to help Trump become president and influence the election process. Of these, 44% are confident that she managed to do this.
