Trump is rushing to get cards to put pressure on Moscow – Bortnik
Donald Trump is rushing to sign the "peace plan" before Christmas because he has nothing to put pressure on Russia with.
Ukrainian political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on air on the Politeka video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Trump needs to pressure Ukraine and Europe now, get them to sign a certain document to begin pressuring Moscow. Witkoff's latest visit to the Kremlin clearly demonstrated that Trump has no cards to play in a conversation with Moscow.
"What should Trump tell Putin? The American delegation arrived amid a lack of Ukrainian agreement on key issues. So what should they put on the table?" Bortnik remarked.
"Trump would like to say the following: I have secured concessions from Ukraine on points one, two, five, and eighteen. Now let's have you also make four concessions on points three, six, and twenty-one. This is the dialogue Trump is trying to initiate.
“And Trump is in a hurry because he understands that one of the parties, or both, is interested in dragging things out until at least Christmas, and then it’s already 2026, and anything can happen in that month,” he added.
