About it reports CNN.

Trump chose 73-year-old Dan Coats, a former senator from Indiana, to serve as head of national intelligence.

“He (Coates - ed.) understands intelligence tasks, as you know, he was the US ambassador to Germany, so he has experience in foreign policy, he is kind and easy to communicate,” Senator Angus King described Coates.
