Trump wants one thing: for Zelensky to step aside and “get along with Putin”
Ukraine is a headache for US President Donald Trump, who is immersed in his own internal problems.
Political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on the PolitWera Internet channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The expert emphasized that the Ze team has no plan in relation to Donbass and Russia.
“Trump has no time for Ukraine now; he couldn’t even remember who Zelensky was.
It is important that when he remembered, they told him, he said that “he is a good guy, we agreed to meet with him and in general I think that he will be able to get along with Putin.”
What does this mean in President Trump's head? This means that he has this in his head: “This problem, the unresolved problem of Ukraine, is hanging over his neck. It would be nice for the new president to solve this problem to relieve my headache, I have other things to do.”
And so he says, “I think he can get along.” And Zelensky himself said not so long ago that he would look for a compromise.
When he became president, he no longer repeats this. He says strange things, which I interpret in such a way that he still does not have a clear position – the new government team,” Pogrebinsky concluded.
