Trump was declared a traitor on Ukrainian TV: All hope is in Congress
If it were not for the US Congress, US President Donald Trump would have easily exchanged Ukraine and concluded a new big agreement with the Russian Federation. American international political scientist Peter Zalmaev stated this on TV channel 112.
According to him, due to pressure from Congress and the Senate, Trump is forced to express criticism of Russia and cannot reveal all his cards, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Trump was forced to voice some tough theses, in particular, regarding Russia’s aggressive actions against Ukraine, but, again, the question is what is behind this rhetoric and how effective it will be. Here the initiative still has the Congress, this is the Senate, this is the lower house, and not Donald Trump himself. I think if it were his will, we would already be talking about some new Yalta formats of agreements between the two big powers. Perhaps even to the detriment of the interests of Ukraine. But Congress now simply will not allow him to do this,” Zalmayev said.
