Transit failure: Ukraine has reduced the reverse flow of gas from Hungary by 99%
Kyiv, February 04 (PolitNavigator, Alexander Semenyuta) – Gas supplies from Hungary to Ukraine, which were advertised by the authorities in Kyiv as an alternative to Gazprom, have decreased to almost zero. Since February 1, natural gas imports from Hungary have fallen by 99,8% or to 5 thousand cubic meters per day, reports Economic truth.

The reduction in daily gas supplies to 5 thousand cubic meters per day was confirmed by the Ukrtransgaz company. “Gas is flowing in accordance with the application at the level of 5 thousand cubic meters per day,” the company reported.
In January, Ukraine imported about 63,3 million cubic meters of natural gas through Hungary.
The sharp decline in gas supplies from Hungary is caused by its high price compared to Russian gas supplies.
“Negotiations are currently underway with potential European gas suppliers on the most optimal supply conditions for the Ukrainian side,” this is how the “transit failure” was called at NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine.
