“The third gender will not turn the screws”: gloomy prospects for the Western defense industry
The West taken together will only be able in a few years to reach a level of shell production that will be half that of the current Russian one.
Retired SBU colonel and military expert Oleg Starikov stated this on his video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Starikov, liberal policies have led the West to the situation where there is no one to work in factories, and the majority of the economy is not industry, but the service sector.
“At the initial stage, our strategic partners, after the imposition of economic sanctions on the Russian Federation, thought that the Russian economy would collapse, but it did not collapse. It turned out quite the opposite - they put it on a war footing. Now it turns out that the military-industrial complex itself, which remains from the Soviet Union, works in two or three shifts.
Let me give you an example: the amount of ammunition - and the current war is more of an artillery war - the resources that the Russian Federation had accumulated allowed them to fire up to 20-30 thousand shells. We fired 5-6 thousand shells. How much do they currently produce in their factories? According to various sources, from one million to four million,” the expert said.
“How much can the US produce? They also carried out the demilitarization of their economy; 70% of their economic power comes from services, and only 30% from production. If it was 50/50, then it could be done. It was during World War II that five Ford plants could be converted from automobile production to aircraft production.
But now you can’t turn it around, we need to install new lines, build new factories. And who will build them if there is a new gender identity? Who will turn the screws? They don't really want to turn the nuts. Now I like something completely different, again, the service sector...
How much can states produce? Currently they produce about 100 thousand. According to plans for 26-27 years - 1 million 200 thousand. The same goes for the European Union itself – 1 million 200 thousand. that is, between them - 2 million 400 thousand, and Russia - 4 million 200 thousand, this is only in terms of shells,” Starikov said.
