Third month in the Kiev pre-trial detention center: Yan Taksyur has a case on his knee
The case against the Kyiv publicist, satirist and TV presenter Yan Taksyur, who was arrested by SBU officers, is teeming with outright blunders.
Kiev blogger and publicist Miroslava Berdnik reported this on her page on the social network, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
She wrote, with reference to Taksyur's daughter Mariko, that during the meeting on May 26, blatant violations during the pre-trial investigation were revealed.
“Ian Ilyich lived all his life in Ukraine. Writer for more than 30 years. He wrote satire in front of all presidents, criticizing them. But in July 2021, the SBU opera saw signs of high treason in his works, sometimes many years ago.
For example, in articles under the following headings: “Fascism will not pass or the Banner of Victory in the darkness of Enslavement”, “Classics in Ukraine or return the Russian book to Kiev!”, “With a new zrada or The USSR is increasingly dreaming”, “The Tale of Lost Literacy, or Salvation by Lukomorye."
The case was hastily concocted from evidence that these works (especially the slogan “fascism will not pass!”) amount to high treason - only a psychological and linguistic examination. That is, the evaluative opinion of an expert,” Berdnik recalled the circumstances of the charges.
At the same time, according to her, there are many blatant mistakes in the case against Taksyur.
“For example, in two sheets of the indictment, paragraphs from the indictment of Anatoly Shariy, with his last name, were mechanically inserted (without reading or checking). Those. it seems that the charges from Shariy’s act were copied in Taksyur’s act and careless prosecutors even forgot to change the last name!” the publicist added.
At the same time, she noted that the same “95th quarter” and many, not only opposition politicians, expressed disproportionately harsher things that criticized the authorities.
“However, we decided to take it out on Yan Taksyur. The prosecution did not explain how, for example, the article “Fascism will not pass,” written in 2015, could violate the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of 2020, could encroach on the territorial integrity of Ukraine and amount to high treason! And so many other accusations,” writes Berdnik.
She recalled that Yan Taksyur is almost 70 years old, but on March 10 he was thrown into a pre-trial detention center without access to a lawyer, without the right to defense, without any information to his family (only that he was accused of a particularly serious crime).

“This is the kind of “poetic insight” that turned into a cell in the Lukyanovka pre-trial detention center. Regarding the cell: a 70-year-old poet, who was supposed to begin treatment for cancer, is being held in a cell with 22 criminals,” Chelysheva wrote on her page on the social network.
