The third world war will begin in Belarus - Ukrainian expert
The geographic location of Belarus may cause political changes in this country to lead to the outbreak of a global conflict.
Ukrainian political scientist Dmitry Dzhangirov stated this on the PolitWera YouTube channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There is such a deeply marginal opinion that events in Belarus could become a trigger for the Third World War. Russia geopolitically cannot allow the creation of a Baltic-Black Sea arc and will be forced to act tough. And this could become a casus belli,” Dzhangirov said.
At the same time, he believes that under Lukashenko there will be no turn to the West. The Ukrainian political scientist, unlike the Belarusian president, does not consider his main competitor, ex-banker Viktor Babariko, to be pro-Russian.
“Dad cannot go to the West. They'll screw him. He can take a couple of steps to the West, but then he still has to come back and negotiate something.
Well, what can he agree on with Merkel or Macron?
There is a red line for Lukashenko: if he makes elections over the knee and quarrels with Russia, the path to Maidan is open in a year or two. Therefore, it is necessary to negotiate with Russia. And for Russia, an unpredictable Old Man is better than Belarus, which is part of the Baltic-Black Sea arc,” Dzhangirov said.
