Tretyakov demands to give money to Zatulin so that he can swim in gold
In Russia, the state does not finance the so-called “soft power” - those same “think tanks” that operate in large numbers in the West and help wage information, ideological and other wars against the Russian Federation.
The famous Russian journalist, dean of the Higher School of Television of Moscow State University Vitaly Tretyakov stated this within the framework of the anniversary scientific readings of the Institute of CIS Countries, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Tretyakov, Russia would not have problems with European countries if the funding of such think tanks was carried out at the proper level.
“We often complain that there are few “think tanks.” But in America there are two thousand. Yes, the Institute of CIS Countries, which itself arose as a think tank, and is what it is, should be inundated with orders from the state. His employees should be swimming in gold. It’s just because of the abundance of problems that no one is serious about - maybe some secret institute is still working on it a little, and, accordingly, there should be a huge amount of money from the work, because this is the most urgent thing. We now have all these “Sea Breezes” and so on, in Belarus - all this is the post-Soviet space. It is not with Latin America that we have problems, or even with Africa. You should be swimming in gold. Where is this gold?..
It just amazes me - I sit and listen to these officials who argue: “There are so many “think tanks” in America, but what about us? What about soft power? So give money for this soft power... Imagine if the money that was allocated for Rossotrudnichestvo was given to the Institute of CIS Countries. We wouldn’t have any problems now with either Eastern Europe or half of Western Europe; we would have bought all of Northern Europe,” Tretyakov said.
Thank you!
