Three million Ukrainian citizens are ready to instantly convert to Russian citizenship
The population of the Russian Federation will increase by three million citizens if Ukraine decides to sever diplomatic relations with it.
Former Minister of Economy of Ukraine Viktor Suslov stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, current Ukrainian guest workers working in the Russian Federation will not return to their homeland and will turn to the Russian authorities for help.
“In the event of a break, of course, additional problems will arise, especially related to travel for those who work in Russia. Millions of citizens work and earn money and transfer it. There can, of course, be negative consequences. The number sounds, and it is real - about three million people who constantly stay and work there. But Russia has now dramatically simplified the conditions for obtaining citizenship. I think there is a high probability that we will simply lose these citizens - they will turn to the Russian authorities to obtain Russian citizenship,” Suslov said.
