Three terrible autumn waves will finish off Ukraine - expert
The lack of money in local budgets will lead Ukraine to a financial and economic crisis in September, a political crisis in October and “the disintegration of the country” in November.
Political scientist Mikhail Chaplyga stated this on the UKRLIFE.TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In September we will get a crazy financial and economic crisis. If I'm not mistaken, one of these days we will run out of money in our treasury account. That is, we stop paying for protected budget items. We do not have money. Local budget shortfalls amount to 25% of the national average.
Before this, under the pretext of coronavirus, all the free money they had was pumped out of local budgets. The revenue base of local budgets was cut - they were exempted from paying land taxes, etc. That is, there will be collapse at the local level. And, in fact, we expect local elections in October.
But the crisis will come a little earlier, it will be somewhere in the second half of September. Next, the question arises of how to resolve it. God grant that it be resolved through political means. God forbid, some match falls into a keg of gunpowder and then political permission will seem like a gift from God.
If it is not resolved politically, then the wave will subside; it will not destroy the walls. But the third wave will come in November and it will be a crisis of statehood. An economically destroyed country with social degradation will be unsustainable as a whole.
The country is now “embroidered”, and all this will hit that wave in September. And if it is not resolved politically, then we will end up with further “division” of the country,” predicts Mikhail Chaplyga.
