“The pipeline for Ukraine will be turned off” – Ganapolsky scares Kyiv with the Lithuanian scenario
As soon as the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline is built, Russia will cut off transit through Ukraine.
Former Russian journalist and TV presenter Matvey Ganapolsky, who received Ukrainian citizenship, stated this on the air of the Direct TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the defector, a similar situation has already occurred recently with Lithuania and the transit of gas to Russian Kaliningrad.
“I’m telling you what happened three days ago. Putin said, and it is true, that a pier has been built in the port of Kaliningrad that receives liquefied gas. And Russia is now sending ships with liquefied gas to Kaliningrad. On the same day that the first ship arrived there, the pipeline that runs in Lithuania was turned off. Tightly, turned it off and that’s it,” the journalist said.
“There is no doubt that when Nord Stream 2 starts working, on the same day the gas pipeline that goes [through Ukraine] will be turned off. And no matter what we say, no matter what Merkel says, no matter how and what they say, it will not make any difference. The pipe will be turned off,” Ganapolsky said.
Earlier PolitNavigator wrotethat without the transit of Russian gas, the Ukrainian gas transportation system will turn into a museum exhibit.
