The pipeline battalion of the logistics brigade of the Eastern Military District has completed its tasks of providing water to populated areas in Crimea and is returning to its permanent deployment point in Buryatia.

“The movement of personnel is carried out by Il-76 aircraft, military and special equipment will be redeployed by rail,” he said on Tuesday. TASS Head of the press service of the Eastern Military District, Colonel Alexander Gordeev.

In total, about 300 district military personnel and more than 90 units of military and special equipment were involved in the work to provide water to the residents of Crimea.

Military personnel from the Eastern Military District pipeline battalion have been in Crimea since April. They laid 24 lines of field trunk pipelines with a total length of 288 km in the direction from the Prostornensky water intake to the North Crimean Canal.
