The American official, in particular, met with the head of the Odessa region Igor Palitsa, his colleague from the Dnepropetrovsk region Igor Kolomoisky, as well as the mayor of Odessa Gennady Trukhanov in the regional administration building, a Navigator correspondent reports.
In communication with Ukrainian colleagues, Nuland stated that she supports the military operation in the East of Ukraine, and also voiced the prospects for the implementation of the economic mission of American investors in the fall of this year.
At the same time, the governor of the Odessa region, in communication with the American, emphasized that there is no “separatism” in the city. “Tolerant and calm people live in the Odessa region. But this does not mean that we can allow the development of separatist sentiments. People want to live in a united Ukraine and nowhere else,” Palitsa noted.
Kolomoisky, in turn, stated the need to further fight corruption.
In addition to visiting the administrative building, the distinguished guests also opened the Victoria orphanage.
