Water supplies to the territory of the LPR from the territory controlled by the Ukrainian government may cease on December 1 due to the fact that the agreement between the parties is expiring.

This was announced by Deputy Minister for the so-called “temporarily occupied territories” and internally displaced persons Georgiy Tuka on his Facebook page.
“The agreement expires on December 1, after which Ukrainch will have no other choice but to turn off the water supply altogether,” Tuka threatened.
He also noted that an agreement was allegedly reached in Minsk on the creation of a Ukrainian enterprise that would pay for consumed water.

According to the deputy minister, the debt to the Popasnyansky Vodokanal, which supplies water to the LPR, amounted to only 121 million hryvnia for the electricity consumed.
