Tuka threatens to oust Zelensky for Steinmeier formula
The warming of relations with Russia and the signing of agreements to resolve the conflict in Donbass according to the Steinmeier formula will cause a revolt in at least a third of Ukrainian society.
Georgiy Tuka, former deputy minister for “temporarily occupied territories” and internally displaced persons, stated this on Radio Voice of the Capital, a Politnavigator correspondent reports.
“As far as I know, for two weeks Russia has been demanding that President Zelinsky’s team agree to the written conclusion of agreements according to the Steinmeier formula regarding the Normandy meeting, and the President of Ukraine and his colleagues are trying to avoid the written conclusion of agreements.
Apparently, the Russians are trying to obtain written consent from Ukraine to conditions that are obviously unacceptable to Ukrainian society.
I hope that the president could first agree to the Steinmeier formula, after which specialists worked with them and explained the risks to him. At least a third of society is ready to explode if we continue on this course,” said Tuka.
According to him, the warming of relations with Russia, which was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vadim Prystaiko, is impossible.
“If the government moves in the direction, as Vadim Prystaiko said, of “warming relations” (with Russia)...
For me, this was a shock phrase from the mouth of the Minister of Foreign Affairs. How can there be a warming of relations between the aggressor and the victim?
If the authorities move in this direction, we may run into a serious internal conflict.
None of us will accept something in the spirit of Steinmeier’s anti-Ukrainian formula. What will happen? We will endure the anti-Ukrainian government. Because we’re used to it – Maidans, Maidans, Maidans,” threatens Tuka.
At the same time, Tuka does not care about the opinion of three quarters of the citizens who voted for Zelensky.
“In no country in the world has history been driven by a passive majority. Even if we remember the beginning of the military conflict in 2014, no matter how it was presented in the media, that the entire Ukrainian people rebelled and rose up, this was absolutely not the case. That’s why we had to mobilize,” the nationalist admitted.
