Tuka: We recognize Putin as president for the sake of signing surrender
Ukraine will make a loud political statement regarding the presidential elections in the Russian Federation, but in reality it will recognize the victory of Vladimir Putin.
This was stated on the Newsroom channel by the former Deputy Minister for “temporarily occupied territories” of Ukraine, ex-Gauleiter of the Lugansk region Georgy Tuka, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I have no doubt that there will be a statement from the Verkhovna Rada, by which it will refuse to recognize the elections. But this will not mean that Ukraine does not recognize President Putin.
Imagine the situation: Putin wants to capitulate, Russia is ready to capitulate - who will sign the act of capitulation? Who should we negotiate with? - said the former official.
He added that most countries would do the same.
“If you admit that Putin is not the president, then Lavrov is not the minister of foreign affairs, and so on throughout the chain. With whom? There are no such people.
Therefore, I am confident that there will be a political statement, as from the overwhelming majority of parliaments, but it will not come to the point of non-recognition of Putin as the President of Russia,” Tuka said.
