Tuka demands that Hungary be excluded from NATO and the EU
Compensation for Hungary from the EU for refusing Russian energy will do nothing. Budapest will demand more and more.
Georgy Tuka, former deputy minister for issues of “occupied” territories, ex-head of the part of the Luhansk region controlled by the Kyiv regime, stated this on the air of the Pryamoy TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As for the immediate adoption of the sixth package, which Orban opposes, as far as I know, we are talking about compensation to Budapest in the form of 800 million euros for Hungary’s alleged economic losses due to the halt in purchases of Russian energy resources.
I think that this issue will be resolved within a week, but how? Most likely, the leaders of the European organization and the EU will find a mechanism and offer it to Hungary - this same monetary compensation,” Tuka said.
He was asked whether Budapest would comply with these demands.
“It’s clear that it won’t stop. This is far from the first and far from the last demarche of Budapest. Therefore, in my opinion, the only effective step towards this country would be to exclude Hungary from both the EU and NATO,” the former official suggested.
