Tuka: “For listening to Leps - correctional labor”
You cannot threaten unwanted citizens of Ukraine with the honorable fate of being sent to the front - it is much more effective to send them to forced labor and confiscate their property.
Ex-Deputy Minister of Ukraine for “Affairs of Occupied Territories” Georgiy Tuka stated this on the air of the “Direct” TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“People, come to your senses, is military service a punishment for scum and stupid idiots? And being on the front line means that some perverts and drunken hooligans are there, protecting you and me? I didn’t expect it, but my idea had enormous support, several thousand supporters of this point of view.
What, they say, is needed for such evil spirits [in Lviv police detained two guys for the fact that they listened loudly to Leps’ music] to do some other ways of influencing. Either hourly correctional work is significant for society, or spending a certain amount of time to solve some urgent issues for society - clearing away rubble, digging trenches, and so on.
But making the honorable and dangerous fate of defending the homeland a way to punish idiots is just some kind of shame, from my point of view,” the former official said.
“For the sake of fairness, let’s add that there was a category of people who commented on this situation - take the jeep and give it to the guys on the front line, because it’s a necessary thing,” the presenter inserted.
“This is a different matter, I agree with that,” Tuka rejoiced.
