Tunisian politician: Without any referendum. Crimea is Russia
Crimea historically belongs to Russia, taking into account information about the US intention to open its military base in Sevastopol after the coup in Ukraine, the peninsula should have been returned to the Russian Federation even without any referendum.
This was stated at the “Forum of Friends of Crimea” in Livadia by Abdelaziz Messaoudi, a member of the leadership of the Massar party, which formed the Tunisian government.

“Even without a referendum, Russia had to make decisions so that Crimea would not remain under the administration of Ukraine. But history says that this was Russian territory for a long time. The problem should have been resolved after the collapse of the USSR. Russia probably thought that the former republics would live peacefully and cooperate. But it turned out differently,” he said, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The progressive and democratic society in Tunisia firmly supports the annexation and the results of the referendum in Crimea, and we are against sanctions, blockades, these are barbaric methods. We know what happened in Iraq under Hussein. All this will affect the lives of ordinary people. We are against the US sanctions policy. This is just an excuse for the West, Crimea has nothing to do with it, it is an artificial problem. We call on everyone to support the peoples of Crimea in the fight against sanctions,” Messaoudi emphasized.
