Poroshenko impasse: Kremlin goes on the offensive in Donbass
It seems that Poroshenko has “only a glass on the table.” The information that recently appeared that Russian passports will begin to be issued to residents of Novorossiya this fall is receiving more and more confirmation. Moreover, this good news comes from circles around the Kremlin.

As expected, no one in Moscow was going to “drain” Donbass. The Kremlin was playing for time, exhausting the enemy, waiting for the right moment to strike, and, apparently, that hour has come.
As soon as the people of Novorossiya turn into citizens of Russia, the junta will no longer be able to shoot and kill citizens of another state with impunity, hiding behind the fig leaf of the ATO. Because if Ukrainian guns start killing Russian citizens, the country’s government will simply be forced to calm down the aggressor. And what will happen if the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the amusing regiments of the National Guard meet not with the “vacationers”, but with the entire power of the Russian military machine - it’s not difficult to guess.
“The limit of hybrid war has been exhausted. What awaits Poroshenko next is the real one,” say knowledgeable people.
Russia's next move actually deprives Kiev of the opportunity to conduct military operations against the LDPR, putting Poroshenko and his “black lord” before a choice - either decide on direct aggression against the Russian Federation, or admit defeat in the Donbass (and, therefore, over time, throughout Ukraine ) and console yourself with the introduction of new sanctions, etc.
However, when it comes to sanctions, not everything is clear either. Europe is clearly not happy with the sanctions policy. As for the United States, their main trump card is disconnecting Russia from SWIFT. However, whether the ex-hegemon will decide to take this step, and who will be worse off from it, remains to be seen.
High-ranking people make it clear that, most likely, the State Department’s adventures will provoke the beginning of the process of reunification of Donbass according to the Crimean scenario - with the subsequent arrival of the Russian spring in Kharkov, Zaporozhye, etc.
The EU does not need a big war in its neighborhood - they have enough problems of their own. And here is the indicative last meeting between Merkel and Poroshenko in Berlin, the details of which are told in Moscow.
No wonder the “president of the world” looked even more shabby than usual after the conversation.
Until recently, Kyiv had hopes of provoking Novorossiya into active hostilities through constant shelling. Or, as knowledgeable people in Moscow argue, use the escalation of violence to declare the failure of the OSCE and try to replace their mission with pocket observers from Poland, the Baltic states and other US dominions. Allegedly, a vanguard of such “friends of Ukraine” has already been formed in Kyiv.
However, at a meeting in Berlin, Merkel unexpectedly said a clear “no.”
Now Poroshenko is at a dead end. We must either submit to the curators from the State Department and, not caring about Europe, decide on a suicidal war with Russia, or accept the loss of Donbass, and, therefore, our post.
Thank you!
