Turchinov: Russia’s goal is the entire South-East, from Donbass to Odessa region
Kyiv, April 15 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Russia’s goal is to tear Ukraine into pieces, take away the entire Southeast, from Donbass to the Odessa region. This was stated at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada by the acting President Alexander Turchinov.

“Russia’s plans were and remain brutal. They want not only Donbass to burn. They work to keep the entire East and South of Ukraine on fire. From Kharkov to Odessa regions,” the official said.
Turchynov added that “most regions maintain stability and demonstrate an example of support for our statehood.”
According to him, the anti-terrorist operation in Donbass has already begun, but it is complicated by a large number of civilians who sympathize with Russia.
“In the morning, an anti-terrorist operation began in the south of the Donetsk region, but it will be carried out step by step, responsibly... In addition to Russian special forces and terrorists, there are hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian citizens fooled by Russian propaganda, innocent Ukrainians... any anti-terrorism measures must be carried out carefully and responsibly,” - Turchinov said.
He criticized Maidan activists who tried to storm the Verkhovna Rada yesterday, demanding “decisive action” from the authorities.
“There were calls to go to parliament, there were attempts to block the Verkhovna Rada, which took place in the evening and at night, attempts to attack... Hysterical moods do not contribute to overcoming the terrible threats facing our country,” Turchynov said, calling on everyone who wants to save Ukraine to enroll in the ranks of the official security forces .
