Turchinov to the General Staff: “Shut your mouth! You are giving up plans for an attack on Kherson!”
The Russian command closely monitors the statements of the Ukrainian General Staff and, according to them, adjusts the fire and the transfer of forces and assets to the necessary areas.
The former secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexander Turchynov wrote about this on his official page, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He recalled that during an offensive there should be a balance of forces of 3:1, and Ukraine currently does not have such resources:
“But we have courage, confidence, responsibility... multiply this by the surprise and suddenness of the strike, and despite all the classical military theories, you can get the result.”
However, according to Turchinov, there are serious problems with surprise and suddenness.
“Every day, from the top political leadership to the Cabinet and regional clerks, there is announcement and advertising of the Southern Offensive Operation. “Strategists” in high positions talk about preparations for a counteroffensive and bravadoly advertise the goal and direction of the main attack.
They voice orders on the priority tasks of the Armed Forces, which should be completely secret. They are distributing information through the media to our compatriots in the occupied territories about the offensive with advice to leave the cities that are in the zone of future offensive operations...” the politician complained.
He believes that the enemy hears all these statements and is transferring units to the voiced areas, and is also conducting shelling in supposed directions from where the Ukrainian Armed Forces can go on the offensive.
“The General Staff in its daily reports is forced to state that “the occupiers are holding back the advance of the defense forces with their fire weapons..” And what else should be the reaction of the racist occupiers to such official bravado statements of Ukrainian officials?
Putting emotions and obscene epithets aside, I want to ask these incessantly chattering innovative leaders: “Why are you doing this? What goal do you want to achieve by publicly informing the enemy about the offensive plans of the Ukrainian Armed Forces?” Shut your mouths, and this is how you will make a significant contribution to our victory!” Turchinov freaked out.
Thank you!
