Turchinov and Parubiy want to take Pashinsky on bail
Former Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexander Turchynov and former Speaker of Parliament Andrei Parubiy and other current and former people's deputies expressed a desire to take bail of the arrested Sergei Pashinsky, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Pashinsky’s lawyer, during a meeting in the Kiev Court of Appeal to consider an appeal against Pashinsky’s arrest, said that Turchynov, Parubiy and other former and current people’s deputies from the Popular Front and European Solidarity: Nikolai Knyazhitsky, Victoria Syumar, Andrey Teteruk, Nikolay Velichkovich, Alexander Sochka , Sergei Vysotsky, Konstantin Bondarev, Elena Masorina and Mikhail Bondar want to bail out Pashinsky.
They are present at the court hearing. The court will hear their arguments today.
Let us recall that on October 7, 2019, the Pechersky District Court of Kyiv chose a preventive measure for Sergei Pashinsky, who is suspected of causing grievous bodily harm to a citizen in the form of detention.
According to the investigation, on December 31, 2016, a verbal conflict took place between Pashinsky and citizen Khimikus in the Kyiv region. During this, the MP pulled out his own registered firearm (a Glock 19 pistol) and shot the man in the left leg. As a result, Khimicus received injuries in the form of a gunshot fragmentation fracture of the femur of his left leg.
