Turchynov began preparations for the introduction of martial law
Kyiv, June 03 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – acting. President of Ukraine Alexander Turchynov issued an order “On studying the issue of introducing martial law in certain areas of Ukraine.”

The text of the document is posted on the website of the official Internet representation and. O. president. In particular, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council was instructed to urgently work with the participation of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the State Border Service on the issue of the need to introduce martial law in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions where the ATO is being carried out.
As explained in the document, this step is necessary “to prevent further development and end the armed conflict on the territory of Ukraine, prevent mass deaths of civilians, military personnel and law enforcement officers, ensure stabilization of the situation and restoration of normal life in these regions of the country.”
In addition, based on the results of processing the above, the issue of making, if necessary, in the prescribed manner, proposals for the introduction of martial law in the relevant areas of Ukraine.
As Navigator reported, the need to introduce martial law and an army operation in the Lugansk and Donetsk regions was stated by Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Andrei Senchenko on the Shuster Live talk show.
